Gorse and Dr Bach

Only 3 weeks to the winter solstice and the darkest time of the year in northern hemisphere.

Gorse is blazing a light of hope and resilience. It will be Springtime when we make the remedy but meanwhile the flowers sing joyfully of the return of the sun.

Last weekend of summer?

In the sunshine a few Rock Rose flowers open on the cliff top while Wild Rose sends out new shoots and butterflies warm themselves on the Clematis.

Ready for Winter? Hibernation time for the essence maker!

How do the remedies work?

If you don’t see the negative feelings how can the Bach Flower Remedies help us?

Working with the remedies is not a mechanical process. It is not just a question of ‘feel the fear, take Mimulus and get over it’. There are always degrees and stages in self-awareness. Life is showing us the true situation all the time but we often fail to see it. The remedy helps us to recognise what is real.  Suppose that it is raining and you show me a picture of sunshine. Perhaps I will remember it. This doesn’t stop the rain but I can decide either to enjoy the rain or to be patient and wait for the sun to come out again. In such a way the rain helps me to recognise the sun and the sun helps me to recognise the rain.
